JimboNonno

Since my two grandsons Gabe and Ben lived in Italy for three years, I am Nonno (Italian Grampa) to them. Their mother nicknamed me Jimbo years ago. . . consequently I JimboNonno. I like Hiking, Flyfishing, and Music. I play at the guitar and songwriting and my alter ego JimboNonno writes the songs.

We adopted Jake at 6 months of age.

He's a growing Boy
At 6 months Jake weighed 60 lbs,
at 8 months he was 78 lbs,
at 9 month it was 90 lbs.
he is nearly 10 months old now (but I can't pick him up to get on the scales).
Oh by the way. . . Jake is not an AKC Lab (see AKC Lab below). He's too tall, too skinny, his nose is too big, his tail is too long and gay. He is however 90+ lbs of love and fun. He's never met a person or dog he doesn't like. He is a lttle confused when bikes, runners, walkers, and especially dog walkers pass him by without saying hello.

Beer, Country, and Blues

Beer, Country, and Blues
After a hard day in the field every Dog needs to
quaff a few Ales. Jake prefers Black Butte
Porter or Fish Tail IPA. When he goes out on
the town listening to Music, Jake usually drinks
Guiness. He also like Brewer's yeast on his
Dog Food. Labs are originally from
Newfoundland Canada, Canadain's like beer
eh? No wine snob here!
Jake drinks out of a Plastic Cup. Tried Glass
Pints, but he buries them in the garden when he
is finished.
He seems to prefer the Blues and Alt Country music. Definitely doesn't like Rap or Pop. His
favorites are: Uncle Tupelo, Wilco, Beck, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Alejandro Escovedo,
Aretha Franklin, Bonnie Raitt, Ben Kweller, Foutains of Wayne, Paul Butterfield, Gillian
Welch, Golden Smog, Ryan Adams, Jeff Beck, John Mayall, John Prine, Jerry Jeff Walker, The
Killers, Los Lonely Boys, Modest Mouse, My Morning Jacket, Nick Drake, Nickel Creek, Rev. Gary Davis, Phish & Trey Anastasio, Tift Merritt, Townes van Zandt, Van Morrison, U2, The White Stripes, Stevie Ray Vaughn, BB King, and the Beatles (he prefers the early stuff)

ERA/CRTU Youth Flyfishing Camp

last weekend was a hoot. Young flyfishing students from 4th grade to 8th Grade learned fishing, stream ecology, knots, and flytying from tireless volunteers. The camp was a joint venture of Educational Recreational Adventures (ERA) and Clackamas River Trout Unlimited (CRTU).
